UK Foundation Degree Compare to US Associate Degree

When we compare the degrees, we realize that typical Associate Degree are divided into two kinds in America--the Applied Degree, and the Academic Degree.

The Applied Degree skips the general education in favor of vocational and applied skills while the Academic Degree keeps the liberal arts in place. Since most European Higher Education does not have general education in universities, these UK Foundation Degrees are comparable to the Applied Degrees.

The UK Foundation of Arts (FdA) are comparable to US Associate of Applied Arts (AAA), and the UK Foundation of Science (FdSc) are comparable to US Associate of Applied Science (AAS).
